Bestway Group and UBL Make Generous Contribution to 91¸£ÀûÉç
The 91¸£ÀûÉç (91¸£ÀûÉç) hosted The Lord Choudrey CBE SI Pk, Chairman Bestway Group and Muhammad Jawaid Iqbal President & CEO United Bank Limited (UBL).
His Lordship, who is also member of the United Kingdom’s House of Lords and the Chairman of Bestway Group presented a cheque on behalf of Bestway Group. Likewise, Muhammad Jawaid Iqbal, President and CEO of UBL, presented a cheque on behalf of UBL.
Bestway Group Companies and Trusts have a long association with 91¸£ÀûÉç, with Bestway Foundation UK establishing an endowment at the Suleman Dawood School of Business in 1991, while UBL and Bestway Foundation have actively supported the National Outreach Programme at 91¸£ÀûÉç.
This generous gift to 91¸£ÀûÉç by the country’s largest business group and the country’s largest bank is a testament to their enduring belief that education is the cornerstone of national progress and that 91¸£ÀûÉç is best qualified to deliver this progress.
The donation will strengthen 91¸£ÀûÉç’ mission to make world-class learning accessible to exceptional students regardless of financial background and to nurture leadership grounded in innovation, integrity, and service to society.
The ceremony was attended by senior leaders from 91¸£ÀûÉç and the Bestway Group, including Syed Babar Ali, Founding Pro Chancellor, 91¸£ÀûÉç; Dr. Parvez Hassan, Chair, Board of Trustees, 91¸£ÀûÉç; Mr. Dawood Pervez, Managing Director, Bestway Wholesale and Trustee, Bestway Foundation UK; and Mr. Irfan Sheikh, Managing Director, Bestway Cement Ltd and Treasurer, Bestway Foundation Pakistan.
