Dr. Mariam Haider is an Associate Professor of Practice at the Syed Ahsan Ali and Syed Maratib Ali School of Education, 91¸£ÀûÉç (91¸£ÀûÉç), and the Founder and Clinical Director of THRIVE – Centre for Health and Wellbeing, a multidisciplinary clinic. She holds a PhD in Applied Child/School Psychology from McGill University, Canada.
With more than 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Haider specialises in psychological and psycho-educational assessment and in therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents with developmental, academic, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. She takes a strengths-based approach to supporting neurodivergent children, including those with autism, ADHD, and specific learning differences. She has served as a consultant to the Special Education Department and the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority, Government of Punjab, and leads school workshops for parents, teachers, and students on wellbeing and inclusive practices. Her work bridges the classroom and the clinic. Her research interests include inclusion and disability, mental health and social and emotional learning.
